Blessed In The Darkness

Blessed in the Darkness, Chapter 1

Chapter 1 talks about our mindset, and we go through good things and bad things in comparison to Christ. When we go through good things, light a new job past class, or even a  new relationship, we are glorified by the Lord’s grace. However, the opposite happens when we go through bad things. Instead of praising or trusting in the Lord, we are great to blame Christ, scream why me, what did I do?

So let’s change our mindsets instead of asking questions such as

  • Why me?

  • What did I do wrong?

  • What is wrong with me?

We must start trusting in the plan and ask questions such as

  • Where is this path taking me?

  • What can I learn from it?

  • How does God plan to use this obstacle to empower me?

Different people in the Bible have faced struggles as Joel Osteen mentions on page 3

  • Moses killed an Egyptian

  • Esther was an orphan

  • David had an affair

All the troubles we face are to allow us to grow. The obstacles we allow growth to assist us in whatever God’s plan is.

My Testimony: I am a witness to this: When I first came to college, I was far away from my family but at first excited. A whole new world of experiences awaited me and the last thing I had on my mind for God. I felt lost once my roommate left, I felt homesick and alone. The Lord used that as a way to draw me closer to him and I no longer felt homesick and alone but instead, I was surrounded by groups of be with the willingness to learn and follow God and this opened a much bigger day for my future!
